Why, hello there! As you
did probably know most likely didn't know I was in England last week - and it was awesome!!!

(at least most of it)
My sweetheart and I spent 6 days in London last week and then went to Manchester to meet up with a friend of ours who is studying a year abroad there.
During the days in London we wanted to stay in an English guest family instead of a super expensive hotel and I can say this was the best decision ever! We ended up in a typical English terraced house of a very nice elderly couple in Streatham. The room was small but comfortable, the neighbourhood was very quiet and the breakfast was yummy.
The next bus stop was literally right around the corner so we could easily go to the inner city of London with our Oyster card. For our daily trips we also bought the 6-day London Pass and I can tell you this was *some* excessive sight-seeing! Woohoo!

For Manchester it was really nice to see Isabell again!
Our hotel in Manchester was by far the worst experience of our holiday.
While the room was okay it was also far away from being good. Who am I kidding here? It was horrible for us. Several things weren't working there, the bathroom looked like it got a rough and ready treatment after some things went terribly wrong and the neighbourhood was so loud that we couldn't sleep at all. The only redeeming thing about it was that it was close to the next train station so we could flee the country quite easily. XD
On our last day in London I had an accident and fell down the stairs in our guest family's home. I was a bit tired, slipped and then basically slid down the stairs on my back. Kids, don't try this at home! I got some awful bruises from this stunt. At first I just noticed some bruises on my arm, but the next day (in Manchester) my back started hurting as well. Not having any sleep at night didn't help much either. Thankfully we left the next day anyway.
Today I went to my doctor who then send me to an X-ray specialist. There they made an X-ray and CT of my back, particularly the spine just to get sure. The good news:

It's not Lupus!

The bad news: I did indeed bruise my spine and it'll take a few weeks to completely recover and be pain-free.

All in all, I had great holidays with a not-so-happy ending.
Just for the heck of it XD
