June Update
Hey everyone! It's been a while and I finally have a moment of time to write a new journal. I try to get back into the habit but it'll be a while until it's really a regular thing. Anyway, here's what I've been up to: Magic May As you may (or may not???) have noticed I did a little art challenge in May. In the end it's only been like two weeks of art cause life got in the way (when doesn't it?!?) but I really enjoyed doing it and some of the artworks turned out really well. I hope you enjoyed this little series. Do you have a favourite? Life stuff a.k.a. kid update! Well, yeah, to the surprise of no one who knows toddlers this was the reason I had to drop the challenge midway through. Little one had a terrible time sleeping which meant that me and my husband had a terrible time sleeping as well. It all started when he was getting his molars and then he learned how to walk and now he's starting day care - so there was always a lot going on for him and he had trouble dealing with
Magic May
What I've been up to Hello everyone! I know it's been a while I posted a journal but I've been incredibly busy in the last 2 months or so. My main priority was to get my portfolio and my website in order. I've been working as a children's book illustrator in a specific style for years now and it was time to show it. If you're interested you can see it all on splinteredshard.com The goal with tidying everything up is of course also to acquire new clients. I still need to send out my applications but I've already had the chance to show my stuff to one of the bigger children's book publishers here and they seemed to really like my work and gave me some super helpful pointers. Fingers crossed! My #MagicMay Challenge To keep myself more busy with art and train that terribly neglected creativity muscle of mine I made plans for a little May art challenge for me. Sadly I've been hit with a mean cold so I can only start now but now that I feel fine again I hope to stick with it for the
dA Eclipse First Impressions
Alright, dA Eclipse is upon us and I made the switch. Gotta say, after shuffling around a few things it looks kinda neat. It probably takes some time to get used to it but the first impression is actually not as terrible as some doom and gloom feedback might imply. I just hope they managed to kill off the worst bugs in the beta. haha ~~~~~ Things I like so far: 1) The new sleek look Yeah yeah, I know, it's an Artstation clone etc etc but I just like it more than the old one, sue me! The header is pretty, the pages themselves look fine. Sure, if you've customised your page to hell and back with tons of widgets and each of them having a nice bg and whatnot then yeah, losing that sucks. But for me that doesn't matter. 2) They streamlined the submission process/gallery categories OMG I think they got rid of the nonsense with those gazillion categories and such. I really hope this will improve the experience of browsing the galleries cause their past misguided attempts at giving
The Big Art Drought and Beyond
Alright, let's do this:
Hello everyone!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As you may or may not have noticed I've been pretty absent for the last years, only updating sparsely. Most art has been the odd piece of fanart and not much else. It's been 3 years since my last journal. And even the last status update, the first after years as well, is already 3 month old. Goodness!
Anyway, I know a lot of people have left dA and I'm sad to see a lot of journals where people I admired declared they migrated to such and such website or social media service cause that's where all the coo

I hope you are doing fine?????
I'm in the weirdest finals week right now. I have lots of work to do, yet I am incapable of doing any of them until I get permission from my teachers (.___.) and so here I am catching up to the internet!
I'm glad your wrist feels better and that you've been doodling for yourself
As for Fragments doodles, I suggest gender bending your characters
I am on a quest to get everyone to gender-bend their characters >: D
